About us

Who we are

Homes for Haringey Ltd is a not-for-profit private lettings and property management agency, wholly owned by Haringey Council. The Company was established in 2006 as a private company limited by shares.

We lease properties from private landlords to assist the Council in housing households needing temporary accommodation, known as Private Sector Leasing scheme (PSL). These leases are generally between 3 to 5 years. At the end of this time, we may renegotiate with the landlords to renew the lease.

Currently, we lease a number of properties, working with the Council, who have sole nomination rights to these properties needing temporary accommodation.

Our board

Homes for Haringey is governed by a board of directors. There are three board directors plus the chair. They are supported by the Company Secretary. The board is responsible for governance, performance, and all financial aspects of the company. The board meet regularly and review reports on a wide range of matters.
