About the housing register, apply to join the register, renew your application, housing reviews.

If you are currently living in temporary accommodation, our Rehousing Team will be your main point of contact to support your move into a permanent home.

Bidding for Permanent Housing

Once you are registered on the housing list, you can bid for available properties through the Choice Based Lettings system. Your Housing Needs Band and priority will affect your chances of being offered a home.

Expected Timeline

The length of time you may spend in temporary accommodation varies depending on your individual circumstances and housing availability. Changes in Family Composition

If your household changes (e.g. a new baby, someone moves in or out), you must let us know if your household circumstances or tenancy have changed as this may affect your housing needs and eligibility. Please find out more details Council tenants: change of circumstances | Haringey Council

Medical Issues

If you have medical needs that affect your housing, please contact the Housing Registration Team. They will assess your situation and may liaise with the Move-On Officer to ensure your housing reflects your health requirements.

Moving to Permanent Housing

Lettings Team aims to help you transition from temporary accommodation to a permanent home that suits your needs. This process is part of your future housing journey and depends on your housing priority, availability of suitable properties, and any specific needs you may have.
